newbie in barcelona
hi folks
just discovered road biking after commuting daily for 10 years on a brompton up a fairly large hill (barcelona is one big hill that slopes down to the sea). wow. feels like riding a rocket. my bike is ancient, a 1985 raleigh team usa that I found at a yard sale whilst visiting the usa this summer. a friend of mine gave me some updated parts (700c wheels and some speedplay pedals, mainly) and I am a happy man in the mountains behind the city and the plain beyond.
if anyone out there is in bcn, I'd love some company.
best,
josh merrow

Welcome to the BF! I have always wanted to visit your city. Is there a market for English speaking systems consultants? :-)

Hey, old bikes are cooler than a lot of the new ones. I'm riding an 80's bike, too! History, better bike for the buck, etc. Anyways, welcome!

Hi Ultraslide. There might be, but salaries here are crap, and EU work papers are usually required. Don't let that keep you from visiting though
