Hello from Texas?

Im 37 and married with three children under 5, that means I haven't had a full night sleep in 5 years. Ultra cycling has always been something I wanted to do, but haven't ever owned a bike. well about a month ago I lost my work truck to the economic turn-down, so I decided to get a bike to start computing to work. I have this far away plan of riding across Texas before Im 40.

My bike:
Im real big into rec paintball, not the stuff you see on ESPN. Im into woods ball, All of my markers are old school markers. Old school markers also require maineace, i love tinkering. So when it came time to buy my first bike I wanted a classic. I found a Raleigh Super Course 555 Reynolds, everything is all original. It still has all its stickers on the forks, wheels, pedals and frame. The bar tape is even original. I have a buddy who enjoys the tinkering and the science of cycling like I do with a paintball marker, he told me from the looks of the sprockets this bike has some low mileage on it.

Anywho I will be doing allot of searching on this forum for parts compatibility and asking allot of questions, I hope I can bring something to the table for yall.
