Greetings from the Old School!

Hi all, greetings from Savannah, Georgia. Getting back into cycling after a long layoff - was a bike shop mechanic and did some riding back in the day. My former venue was central Indiana in the time of Wayne and Dale Stetina (though I didn't know them personally) - my first 'nice' bike was a custom made Miura by Fastab (Tom Boyden, Garland Texas - remember him anyone - was I the only customer!?). Now, restoring and riding the bikes I wish I could have afforded then. Stable includes a 1973 Bob Jackson, a 1978 Olmo Competition, a full chrome 1983 Cinelli, a Colin Laing of unknown vintage - and a 1984 Fuso (Dave Moulton) for my wife. All are equiped with date-correct Campagnolo NR or SR. I had almost forgotten how much fun it was (healthy too!) - glad to be back. Best regards to all.

Welcome to BikeForums. I'll have to ask around to see if anyone remembers the builder of your custom. I know another local Dallas frame builder who might know of him.

following up on Fastab custom bike

Hey, did you ever find out what you were looking for about your Fastab bike? They were made by Tom Boyden, in Garland, Texas, in the 70s and 80s. Contact me if you want to know more.

The original poster hasn't posted in about 2 years, so don't hold your breath.

However, welcome to the forums! If you haven't checked it out yet, there may be people in the Classic & Vintage forum that would be interested in information on Fastabs.
