G'day from Down Under

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on the site for a while and decided, time to get off my butt and participate.

I do long distance riding (2 x PBPs, 1 London Edinburgh and 2 x Great Southern Randonnee in Australia). We have also bought a tandem a few months ago and love that. I also have a fold up bike, and yes... I'm over 50, so there are many forums for me here.

Happy riding everyone.

Welcome to Bike Forums. You'll have to share your PBP stories in the Long Distance forum.

What kind of bike do you have.

Thanks for the welcome CbadRider. I will visit the Long Distance forum with some of my PBP and other 1200km tales.

Regarding the bike. For PBP I had a custom made steel frame bike, however, after some mishandling by the airlines, the frame actually broke. Rather than getting it fixed I decided to retire it and now I ride a Giant OCR Alliance Comp. Alloy/carbon. It's a bit different to the steel bike, but I have done one 1200km ride on it and it was fine.

Welcome ... are you a member of Audax Australia? In what part of Australia?
