Ken from the D

Well, I have decided at my young age of 23 to get back into shape. I'm from Troy, MI. Born and raised. I recently purchased a 2008 Diamondback Sorrento. My current goal right now is to lose some weight (I'm at 325 lbs), and perform in the whole 62.5 mile ride for the Tour Detroit.

Anyways, my buddy Eric threw me this link. Going to use this to help me out. I need to get new tires, which I plan on getting them in the spring, when I start doing outside training.

Welcome to Bike Forums! Check out the Clydesdale/Athena forum. They can give you lots of advice on tires for your bike.

Best wishes in meeting your goal, kenco12. I was raised, although not born, in Troy. I was also one of the ride leaders for the Tour de Troit 62 miler.

As you may know, the city of Troy will soon (hopefully) adopt a non-motorized plan that should make the city more conducive to biking. I'm not sure when it'll go before city council, but it should be soon. Your support would be appreciated especially given your goal.
