New gal from Mountain View, CA
Hello folks,
I am a 31 year old female road bike rider who rides for fun and health. I am a member of the Western Wheelers, who are a club of folks who ride for fun and cover a diverse range of ability, if not age
I found this forum while trying to find a cycling forum where cycling is more important how big your ego is as defined by the expense and weight of your bike. Frustration has abounded, but hopefully this will be the place I can actually ask questions without being told to leave because its not technical enough.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Learn to ignore the big egos.
That is a large club.

I guess there will be a few cork-sniffers on forums on any subject, but this seems like a pretty diverse and tolerant place.

What does your bike weigh?
Just kidding, this is a good place to hang out. X-Men's on TV right now, and I'm still lurking here.

Yeah, for sure this is some of the best weather to be had for biking. I'd be treasuring it right now, but I have this darned cold, and I am not recovered enough to get back in the saddle yet

It's funny that cork-sniffer is synonymous with snobbery, because any real wine aficionado will tell you that you don't smell the cork, because it's going to smell like cork. Lol. So, to the OP, welcome to BF. If you ever feel bad that the roadies or whomever are treating you bad, come spend a little time with me in SS/FG, then you won't feel so bad.
