I have been viewing here for a while but have just become a registered member.
I live in the National Capital Ottawa Canada.
I have been biking as long as i can remember but have only rode my bikes year round for 4 years.
The first two winters i rode every day as a commuter regardless of the weather. My commute
is only 3 km one way. Last year the Experimental farm stopped plowing the road i use for 1/3
of my commute, so i didn't ride as much as i could have. This year i am determined to ride as
much as possible. This winter with a new route i have only missed two days by taking the bus.
On my commute at 6:30am in the summer i see about 10 other people biking in my area, later
on in the day there are a slow steady stream of bicyclists in my area. In the winter i meet about
4 other bicyclists on my commute in the morning, and the odd one here and there throughout
I have had many many old bikes over the years but right now i have
1- 19?? Eatons Roadking-(that I completely rebuilt and painted.)
2- 2004 Trek 7100fx-(this is my summer commuter.)
3- 2010 Trek 820 -(bought this fall for winter commuting after selling my old winter bike)
Here are some pics-
I am sure i will learn lots from other members here- thanks.
