Introduction and question.
Hello! Longtime lurker, finally registered.
I'm a 22 year old computer technician(Geek Squad ) living in Arkansas. Most of my riding is just leisurely late-night rides around town. I'm currently riding a cheap Walmart(I know, right?) Mongoose 700c Paver, but plan on selling it to a friend and upgrading to a "real" bike.
So here's my dilemma:
I found a 2009 Giant FCR 3 on craigslist for $200. I'm pretty sure that's a good deal, but I could be wrong. My main concern is that it's an XL bike. I'm around 5'11 or so, and I was wondering if this bike would be too big. Unfortunately, the bike is about 3 hours away, so I can't just go check it out all willy-nilly. I would just hate to buy a bike that I couldn't ride comfortably.
So what do you guys think? Here's a link if you need to check the specs or whatnot:
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/...ad/2268/32201/
Anyway, glad to be a part of this pretty awesome forum. Hope to learn/help as much as possible.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
You can always sell the Giant if it is too large.

As 10 Wheels said, you can sell the bike if you don't like it or it doesn't fit. I'd also be concerned about such a low price for last year's model ($600 new).

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably hold off on the Giant, seeing as how I found an '83 Trek 500 series for $100 that's 2 hours closer and would give me a good reason to go visit my parents.
As far as the XL size goes, the guy selling it must also be a Giant.

...And out of left field:

I drove over 11 hours today to get this bike. I dropped $250. It's an '87 Cannondale.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing with it for a short hour when I got home, but alas, I must go to sleep.
On my agenda, I really need to pick up some new pedals. The shoe-doohickey ones it came with are impractical for me at the moment, so I took the shoes off, leaving me with tiny pedals with little grip.
Overall, I'm very pleased.

Welcome, and well done.
Tip: it's OK to post the photo directly into a thread.
Just click on the tree in a picture frame, and paste the jpg url into the field.

It's seems easier to me with photobucket, mind you.
