Ok, maybe a little more Texas Drawl than I really have, but you get the picture.
I am getting back into cycling after years of not doing it do to pain in the wrists (CPTS) , back (Fat) , butt (fat) . I discovered the wonderful world of recumbents! I have a used Lightfoot Cycles Explorer, about 4 years old from what the guy I bought it from claimed. We moved into an area with "75 miles of hiking and biking trails" and I thought what a better place to get some exercise, and belive me, I need it! I need to lose about 125 pounds, so between the swimming pool and biking I hope to have my bike down quite a few pounds in weight this year. I tought my daugther to ride a month before I got my recumbent, and she loves to ride. So we have been doing it almost daily the last month since I receivied my recumbent. I have always loved riding bikes, as a recreational rider. I am glad to get back into it.

Well, I think you'll find plenty of supportive company here on the Bike Forums, fofa! Look around at the various posts on recumbents--they're pretty popular with many members. You'll probably also like the training and nutrition posts, and if you just get sick and tired of it all, try General Discussion or The Lounge, where sometimes you wonder if anybody ever heard of a bicycle!

Welcome fofa! I did a winters worth of cycling in Houstan last year. We were in the Woodlands area. It was pretty flat, but I couldn't argue about the weather! We left just before the big floods you'all had done there.
