I'm new

What's the best road bike for some one just getting into the sport? Under a $1000 and for fitness I'm about 5'7 and 185 pounds.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
The best road bike is the one that fits like a glove.
Visit your local bike shop and ask about size and warranty's.

I like the Felt Speed 30. The 700 x 28 tires give a better ride over normal road bumps and junk on the roads
