New member, new biker!

Hi all,

New to the forum and not even set butt onto a bike since I was a nipper! Found myself a freebie bike off of a friend and in the process of working out how to get it road worthy.

In my spare time I play roller derby and I am much more comfortable on 8 wheels as opposed to 2!!

Be speaking to you all soon hopefully.

Haha, I already have a sore bum - fell over whilst skating in the St Patty's Day parade and have a lovely bruise to show for it!

The bike is some sort of CCM Mountain bike (not a vintage one unfortunately!!) It's a little bit of a fixer-upper in the sense that it was in my friends basement for 2 years doing nothing! Right now I seem to have established the inner tubes are ok, and holding air fine. I have however just discovered a small section of chain rusted in position which I am currently ttrying to get moving until I can buy a new one. I don't have pics just yet but will get some soon.

Hoping it won't take too much to get it in riding condition!
