Hello from Connecticut

Hi--

I've been a lurker for a few months and decided to finally join. I stumbled across this forum while gathering information and recommendations for a new bike I planned to buy in 2005. Well so much for 2005. Hello new bike in 2004 - Specialized Dolce Elite. I'm such a sucker, but I will say that I enjoy riding this bike every day.

I continue to read through many posts and learn new things every day from all of you. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

Helen

Hello Helen,
We ride in Suffield quite often, maybe we will see you on the road. If not you will see us riding as we tend to stick out riding a tandem recumbent. We often load up the bike and head over to a park in Suffield for a overnight camping trip.

Hi there. Would that park be "Sunrise Park"? I've only seen one recumbent bike on the road but in another town (Windsor Locks). I'll have to keep an eye out for you two when I'm out on the road.

No, not Sunrise park. Do they allow camping? The park we visit is on Halladay Ave. Its a small park with about 10 camp sights. Unimproved, no water and a two holer. Its used by the Boy Scouts often. If you see us, you will know its us our bike is bright yellow and has a wheel base of 106"

In all honesty, I have no idea if Sunrise Park allows camping or not. After doing a quick review of the town's website, no they don't. I sort of guessed on that one However, now that you mention Halladay Ave., I believe know the area. I never paid much attention to it, but now I know where to take notice of a yellow tandem recumbent
