Hello from Lake Tahoe, CA!

Hi everyone! After lurking for a while, and seeing that this is a pretty friendly forum site, I thought I would introduce myself. I have been into mountain biking for years, but this year bought my first road bike and have gotten totally involved in it. I have my first century coming up (Tahoe Sierra Century) and have been training six days a week. I live in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and am interested in meeting others into road biking. If you are in the area please say hi!!!

Welcome to the forums.

Some friends and I did, or tried to do a ride around Lake Tahoe several years ago when I was living in California. We started on the north shore and when we got to Soutn Lake Tahoe, the rain came. We had stopped at a place to eat and a waitress there ended up driving all six of us and our bikes back up north in her pickup. Other than that, it was a great ride!

I've also done the flume trail.

Cheers.

Hey, I'm going to do the Tour de Tahoe in September! My family has a place in Tahoe City so I've done a fair amount of riding on the North Shore but this will be my first time around the pond.

We went down the east side to South Lake Tahoe. It was a blast. Have fun!

Great! I will also be doing that ride. It is a great time of year for it (not much tourist traffic). Have Fun!!!
