Hi from NOVA!

I am Army stationed in Northern VA. I am looking to get into mountain biking to get into better shape and because I enjoy being outdoors. I am getting ready to move to Colorado Springs, CO and would like to increase my heart and lung endurance before trying to run at that high altitude with the Army. I am not sure what kind of bike to purchase; I can't afford much, but I'd like one I can ride on pavement or off-road. Any advice for a new-comer is much appreciated! Thanks and have a great day

Ashley

I am not really sure what kind I will be doing...here in NOVA I will be on the pavement mostly, but once I get to Colorado I'd like to try the mountain trails.
