Hi Everyone
I guess this is where I tell you a little about myself. I am 25 and live in the Grand Rapids, Mi area. When I was 19 I had a stroke that left me with limited movement on the left side. After that I was barely able to walk 50 ft without assistance. I am glad to say that today I can walk without the assistance of others. Due to the limited movement from the stroke I have led a very sedentary lifestyle. After gaining a decent amount of weight I decided that I needed to start getting active again. I started exercising a lot and eating healthy and have been happy with the results, but I felt that I was missing something. After talking with a buddy who has been riding awhile I started think that maybe that was something that I would be interested in. So here I am, I bought a bike and am in my first week of riding and I love it so far. I think this will help me further my recovery and get off the couch.

Hello and welcome to Bike Forums. Best wishes on your recovery. Cycling is certainly a good way of getting off the couch!
