Hallo from SoCal!

45 yr old single guy who just started riding road bikes again after a 20 year hiatus. Live near downtown LA and commute to work on the 'Olympic Blvd Speedway' via six cylinder, 3500 lb car, Mon-Fri.

My plan is to park my car Friday night and go two wheels good until Monday morning. I bought a 2010 Felt F95 Team last week and couldn't be happier. The bike rides fast and looks gorgeous,, although the first thing i did was wrap the frame up in old inner tubes (ca. NYC 1980's). The ride is amazingly smooth and I love the fact that I can coast up hill while my buddies on their cruisers are huffing and puffing away.

I'm so glad to be riding again and can't tell you guys how much I appreciate this forum. Thanks and happy riding, everyone!

Thank you, guys! I will definitely check out the SoCal regional forum. And might I say that it sure feels different being on the other side of the car door, as it were...

And I just rode my first "art ride" through Eagle Rock/Highland last Saturday (via Bike Oven). It was amazing and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to get back on a bike.
