Newbie from Lafayette, LA

Hi there,
I've been an athlete for all my life until three semesters ago (im in college) i stopped playing college golf and now i feel like a bum... I have decided to buy a fixed gear and pedal my butt out of bad shape and laziness... Any suggestions on fixed gear bikes (from bikesdirect.com, since they are the only ones that match my budget )??? Im thinking either the kilo tt "stripper" or the motobecane track.... any advice? ohh, and what is a flip flop hub? is a fixed gear still a fixed gear with a flip flop hub?
thanks yall

Hey there dageaux. A flip flop hub in a rear hub that has one side fixed and a freewheel on the other side. Just reverse wheel to suit your riding style.
BTW, I'm originally from Lafayette but left there about a decade ago.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.
