New Intro from PA
Hello, I am 65 and restarting my biking. Presently I have been looking at Hybrids due extreme back issues metal knee ect, etc. I ride up to forty miles depending on terrain. If I have longer climbs, one mi + then it's only 12 - 15 mile ride. Riding is my way of justifying eating the wrong food and keeping the weight under 205. I was a 350 at my highest. Live in the PA hills so there are a variety of riding conditions; hills really get me so I need to get more than an 18 speed.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
I too started at 65.
The forward stretch of a road bike has eliminated my back pain from two herniated collapsed disc's.
