Greetings from Canada's praries

Hi there, I'm a uni student from Winnipeg who just started to attempt to get back into cycling as my major form of (summer) transportation and to get some exercise into my rather lazy lifestyle. I'm currently in the market for ride (haven't had a decent , proper fitting bike for years) and have been looking around the local used online market and brick-mortar shops. If there's anyone with a decent knowledge of road bikes willing to give me a hand in my search (even to say that is / isn't worth the price) I'd be forever grateful. Glad to be on the boards and ... happy cycling?

Welcome to Bike Forums!

What kind of bike are you looking for? Do you want to do just road riding or also use it to run errands and carry things?

Something mostly for road riding/commuting but I'm sure I'll end up doing some errands on it as well. Not much stuff bigger than I could fit in my backpack though.
