Hello from Burbank, California

Just started riding my bike to work this year. Started out on a Schwinn sit up bike but just bought a 2009 7.5 FX Trek a couple of weeks ago (and I'm loving it). Haven't gotten into group rides yet although I registered to do the Los Angeles River Ride in June. Oh, and Bike Forum is helping to fuel my newly acquired addiction to bicycling. Thanks.

Welcome! I WISH I could ride to work. Work in Burbank, but live just too far away for it to be realistic. ENJOY!

I was not aware that LA had a River Ride.

You have to remember, it's more like a "LA Wash Ride". The "LA River" is really more of a.....well.....it's not like any river I'm used to! Anyway, here's the link. And a thread about it:

I'm new to cycling, and new to bike forums. I look forward to hearing about your experience on the river ride. I will be there too. I live in Studio City, and have loved every minute on my Specialized Sequoia Elite.
