New guy from NY, signing in.

Hey whoever is reading this, figured I might as well introduce myself to whoever actually reads these things...I'm from upstate NY and just bought my first road bike (an '09 Raleigh Supercourse) last week. So far I've put just under 100miles on it in the 6 rides I've done. I'm really enjoying myself already since I'm pretty much a fitness/nutrition freak (as my parents call me) anyways. I'll be going up to R.I.T. this fall as a freshmen, so next spring I'll be racing with their team hopefully. Anyways, if you have any 'newbie' tips, tricks, advice, comments, or whatever don't be shy.

Woohoo! - new person coming in to race!!!

Do check into Full Moon Vista (actually there are several shops that have some sponsored teams), but Scott at Full Moon has a team.

And btw this year is Year ONE that we're having Tour de New York!!! (we were to have have had it last year but the state pulled some of our funding) - but we're on this year! -- 6 day event ... DOOO check into the Full Moon Vista url I've posted. They have many more rides that involve their team members as well as a hard core troup.

This is the other semi-pro here

And there's alot more going on around here as well --- I'm a member of three bicycle clubs here so there's much a foot - and there are a few members of 2 of the clubs who are either Professors or retirees of RIT so they can get you around here no problem!

Enjoy!

Awesome, thanks for the links. I'll probably come up and check out the Tour this year, perhaps shoot some photos and check out that shop.
