Hello, from soon to be VA

Hello hello!

I stumbled upon this site looking for frame size conversions (was trying to figure out what 21" was...) and started looking around, what I found was a really great place for bicyclist to share all sorts of info, and I knew I had to register.

About myself: My love for bicycling started at around 11 when i got my first huffy and took it down a hill that to this day i shake my head at myself for ever doing on that thing, from that moment i was hooked, soon after that i got my dad to start biking with me, he fell in love with it.

At around 16 my dad got a road bike and started up on this passion, i wasn't immediately sold, but when he came home with a 1979 reliegh lugged frame, i knew i had to give it a shot. On that bike i found my second passion for road cycling. I never found a bike that felt like that, even though i moved up through the world of metal and carbon, even though i found my reaction better on these newer frames, something was missing, and only till now can i say that my heart will always go out to steel, so says my name.

I have been out of the cycling game for a while though, its been going on 4 years, but I am moving to VA in a month and have decided to rededicate my energy to this long passion and start back on the road again. I currently have a Look carbon fiber frame that i will be riding until i can find an old steel frame i want to replace it with.

I say this because i have always had a dream of taking an old steel frame and painting it myself, i am going to make it another hobby to become good at frame painting. And maybe... one day i will make my own steel frame myself.

I want to thank everyone in advance for all the help, because i ask a lot of questions, i look forward to having some good conversations with all of you.
