From the middle of nowhere Iowa

I haven't been on a bike since I was a teen, but this June my wife and I decided to buy ourselves a pair of Raleigh Route 4.0s to tool around town on and as a way for me to get back in shape after an ankle surgery requiring some plates and pins (since running/jogging is out of the question).

I had an issue with the chain skipping off the front sprocket yesterday (which I'm posting in the mechanics threads) if anyone could shed some light on the matter.
