Hey Everyone!
Just joined and thought I'd say hello. I used to do a lot of recreational biking when I was younger then I got into mountain biking pretty seriously before I went back to school. Once I committed to school I sold my Specialized Enduro Pro and all of my gear. I recently moved to the Lehigh Valley, PA area and it seems as though road biking is pretty popular here. I see tons of bikers on the roads near where I live and it is making me want to ride again.
I am currently in school for nurse anesthesia, and I'd like to start accumulating some toys once I am done. I am pretty well versed in mountain bikes and I am looking at a Santa Cruz Heckler because I like the single pivot and I want an all mountain bike with a good amount of travel.
I'd also like to buy a road bike for training and general exercise. I'm 6'1" 220 so I suppose I'd need a bike that can handle my weight. I know nothing about road biking and I'd like to hear some advice on what kind of bikes I should be looking at.
Thanks!

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Your weight is not a problem.
I ride bikes with 36 spoke wheels.
Fit and how the bike rides is more important than the brand.
A good friendly bike shop can help you with questions and warranty problems.
