Kansas City Raleigh rider

Hello all. I've been riding recreationally since I was a young boy. My dad and I would ride the Indian Creek trail back in the 80's. A while ago I asked my dad if I could have his 1985 Schwinn Traveler because I wanted to start riding again. I fell I love with cycling all over again. Recently, I sold the Schwinn to my sister in law and bought a used early 90's Raleigh SP1000 on ebay. I'd never seen anything like it. It's a bonded frame with aluminum lugs, titanium main tubes, a Reynolds 531 fork, and Reynolds 753 stays. The frame was in great shape but the rest of the bike needed some work. I replaced the front derailleur, the rear brake, the crankset, had the rear rim replaced along with the stem and handlebars. She's finally done and I love the ride. I'm enjoying this website very much and hope to make some contacts in the K.C. area. Also, if you have any information about my Raleigh please let me know as I have found it hard to come by. I have attached photos. Thanks for reading!

Greg

Beautiful bike...Why don't you check out the Classic and Vintage section? They'd like to see pictures of it there and perhaps would be able to answer some of your questions. Those guys know EVERYTHING!!
