Hi from Mossley UK!
Hi Everyone!
Just thought I'd pop a quick introduction from myself up!
I've recently decided to get back into bike riding... I used to ride a bit but haven't for the last 10 years or so since I started a family but now I've turned 40 I thought I'd better get back on my bike. I've recently been riding a cheapish mountain bike I bought a few years back but never got round to riding when my second daughter was born...
Also I have dug out my old Peugeot bike and try renovate that a bit rather than buy new.... I kinda like the old styling.
I've been trying to figure out what model it is but have come up against a bit of a wall... I bought it in either 88 or 89 but it doesn't seem to match any thing I can find on the net... It's mainly white to metallic grey on the seat post with just yellow/ orange on the decals and marked "Le Tour". Should keep me out of mischief for a while... the wheels have gone rather rusty in the shed but is otherwise in decent order.

I'm sure it's nothing special as I was in my 1st job at the time and money was tight... but it'd be nice to know a bit more. It doesn't owe me anything as I've had many fun filled miles on it so it'll be good to have it back in a rideable state!

Never really thought about it in bike terms but how old is a bike to be Classic or Vintage? Don't really think of things I own being old enough to be a "Classic"...
I've had a look at the 81 models and although similar it's not the same... no checker pattern on mine and after digging it out of the shed it's probably more grey than white...White at the front and grey from around half way along... with yellow/ orange markings. When I get chance as you've already said I'll post some pictures to see if anyone can help. I'm sure it's nothing special (although it is to me as I've had it over half my life!) but would like to know more about what I bought all those years ago!
