Hello I'm a 47 year old musician in central Vermont. As the music biz isn't stellar right now I've dusted off the old mnt bike and have been logging some miles. Would like to work my way up to a 50 mile ride. Harpoon Brewery's point to point ride. Can't do it this year because I have two gigs that day but maybe I'll run the short leg (twenty five) by myself to try it out. I have an old Specialized rock hopper but would like to get a nice hybrid. I like riding dirt roads as well as pavement so I don't want a full-on road bike.

On the forum to get info on hybrids and training for a 50 (or more). Appreciate any advice! - Scott

Welcome, Scott! We have a lot of musicians here! What do you play? If you go to the forum here called Foo (our non cycling area), sometimes the musicians will post picture of themselves. Or you can start a thread there, asking them to post a pic of them playing!

We have a Hybrid section here you might be interested in. Go check it out!
