Like everyone else, Hello there.
I just started riding seriously again after a 25 year lay off. I started riding in a bike club in 1986 a bought a new Cannondale then. Rode for about a year and had to move for a job so I sold the bike. I bought a Raleigh C40 in 2000 to putts around the neighborhood with the wife and kids. Now that the kids are out of the house, I recently bought a 2008 Specialized Sequoia to ride more seriously. I have ridden it 150 miles in 2 weeks which is very good for me.
Thought I would check in from time to time to pick up some tips. I'm working on upgrading the engine which is not hitting on all cylinders right now.

Welcome to Bike Forums!
150 miles in 2 weeks is more than I've done.
How do you like your new bike?

You gonna eat that?
Yeah, welcome!
Your story sounds similar to mine; I was a bike commuter in the 80s when we could only afford one car. When things got better financially we bought another car and I was off the bike for about 20 years. I got a job close to home a couple years ago and tried riding to work and it got me back on the bike. My job is further away so I'm not commuting as much but I'm trying to get my miles in.

CbadRider... I really like my bike. It has a more upright dimension that suits me. I'm making my first upgrade to the bike today with a new Selle Italia C2 Gel saddle. The saddle that came with the bike is too wide for my skinny butt.
