    Greetings & Felecitations.........

After watching the tour for the 5th year, I have decided to return to biking for exercise. Mainly because the '76 'Vette really needs a good looking, slim driver.LOL!!!!!!!!! Live in the QC area of NC. Type II diabetic and looking forward to doing the riding I used to do. Please feel free to bust my chops. I've sprung for a Scott Speedster S60 FB in a large because the durn thing spoke to me and also because i wasn't about to spring for a $G for a bike yet. The measurements seem to be "about" right based on my height, reach, and inseam, so here I go. My last bike was a Raleigh back in the early 80's which I paid $250 for because it was light and in my range. i need advice on hydration, carbs, and any tools or equipment that would make the experience better........LOL!

    Your going to have fun.
    I know much about equipment.

Go to Training and Nutrition Forum for that type of help.

I've had several since 1999 but have settled on my beloved 2001 Litespeed Tuscany and my latest, a 2015 Cannondale SuperSix EVO carbon

    Welcome to Bike Forums.
You'll find the answers to most of your questions about hydration, equipment, etc in the General Cycling forum. Feel free to ask questions.
Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals. Lots of NC folks there.
