Greetings from a newbie
Howdy one and all. My handle on here is deltarootoo, but you can call me Jerry. I reside in Greenleaf, Wisconsin. My pedal of choice began with a fat fendered, ballooned tire Schwinn beater bike back in home town of Affton, Missouri. Later in life I progressed to a Schwinn Mountain bike which I really enjoyed riding. That bike along with my wife's same bike got trashed in a rear end collision at the Deerpath Toll Booth outside of Chicago in 1995. We were told by the insurance company to buy whatever bike we wanted and so we did. I bought a Trek Single Track 930; the wife bought a Trek Hybrid. Fast forward to 2010. After having double knee replacement in 2004, the Trek remained hung from the ceiling. Soon we would venture into the land of trikes. Thus both Treks were sold in a period of two days.
We purchased matching ( because we had no choice) Sun USX HD recumbent trikes. We absolutely love these trikes. I'm not much for the speed thing anymore, just want comfort and control and due to the "expensive" knees, it's much better to be closer to the ground.
So this is all about me...sorry for being so long winded. Oh by the way, somewhere between the beater Schwinn and Schwinn mountain bikes I had a Trek road bike as well.
I hope to be on here for a while. I have other interests that have 4-wheels, but I will be visiting the other sections of the Bike Forum for answers to questions I have regarding our new trikes. So glad to be a part of y'all.
