I am new to this forum!

Hellow friends..I am new to this forum. I have been visiting quite a few cycling forums recently as I own a Cycle and I think these forums helps in various ways like Advice for a new bike...or may be Troubleshooting etc. As I'm new I have few questions in mind like - Are people active here on this forum and if in case I have a query do people reply. I mean not instantly obviously but still they do right ! And what are the activities that cannot be done here. I have read the "forum rules" but in case if someone has been here for a long time may know what is the most hated thing to be done here on this forum..so that I avoid doing it and make sure my ID is safe ! I would also like to make friends here

Thank you...Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers jaikumar, welcome to Bike Forums!

When you need advice, use the search function first. Your question may have been answered already. When you post a question, use the appropriate Forum (Bike Mechanics for troubleshooting, for example) and try to be specific in your post. Background info helps, and sometimes pics are better than a lot of words. If you put a bit of effort into your questions, people will help you. A general "I need a new bike, tell me what to buy" without any other information will not get many useful replies. A lot of replies, yes, but probably nothing useful.

Regarding what NOT to do, the Guidelines you have read (rules) pretty much cover it. Looking forward to reading your posts!
