Back in the saddle
G'day from the Ottawa Valley:
I'm an older rider (66) new to the forum and back riding after wrestling with some health issues. Live in the middle of beyond and have one dog, one moutain bike, one battered cross and and a road bike that I am learning to love. Slowly. Looking forward to learning much on these forums. Cheers!

Hi Deke.
I too (68 now) started after being ill for a few years.
My road riding has brought me back into better shape.
What did you name your dog?

Badger is a good ol' guy who found abandoned on a fire road when he was a pup. Our adventures together have been pretty good using my old farmhouse as base. Wolves brought down a deer in the yard last winter and he was out there defending the place from the big boys at midnight until I dragged him in.....think the wolves would have looked on him as an anchovy on a pizza. He and I took up ski-jouring last winter and its a so-so replacement during deep snow time for the bike.
