Hi! I am in Billings MT. I am 59 and my husband is 66. He decided to celebrate turning 65 by getting back into cycling after 20 years and doing the Seattle to Portland (STP) ride. Next year he plans to do it in 1 day. I am significantly more hesitant in getting back to cycling. Maybe it's the 4 ER visits and the 1 ICU stay from horse accidents, or maybe it is just my age. At any rate with his advice I bought a Felt F85 last summer. My old Pro-Flex mountain bike was not something to even attempt to ride with him on his Scott road bike. I never felt safe on the Felt so I seldom rode it. I kept worrying about falling over, and actually did once in the rain. So a couple of weeks ago we test road several crank forward bikes and recumbents. The crank forwards were comfortable and bomb proof but awkward and not good on hills. The shop we were at also had an older Terry Classic with dropped handlebars and when I tried it I found that something about the geometry just worked for me. Going up hills is not nearly as hard with it as with the Felt and more importantly I wasn't fearful of falling. Now I am trying to figure out what exactly it is that I bought.

I have a Felt F-85 rode it 201 miles the past two days.

I went to 50-39-24T Triple Chain Rings with a 11-34 cassette.

Do you have any pics of your new bike to share?
