    lol hi.

Hey! I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to biking but there is a lot I want to learn.
I don't know what kind of bike I need or want.

I've always just grabbed a bike from a yard sale or wherever I could find one and rode that, not really caring about what i'm riding. It's getting to the point where that's becoming old and I want to invest in a real bike.

The kind of biking I do is anywhere between 10 mile and 50 mile trips just for the fun of it. I usually have to take down some pretty nasty hills which are starting to become painfully annoying. I'm looking to find out what kind of bike would be best for that kind of riding. If anyone could direct me in down the right road, that'd rule. I've got around 2k to spend. I just don't know where to go. I don't want to waste that money, ya know?

    What is you budget?

Brands are not that important as the components.

A good fitting bike, a friendly bike shop is what you should look for.

Test ride as many as you can.

Used from Craiglist if you budget is low.
Used also gives you a chance to get in shape and learn about bikes and riding.

    Just some to look at:

unfortunately, the only dealer we have around here is an electra and they only sell their cruisers. Aside from that, the closest bike shop is a good hour and a half drive away. I had a friend suggest a Bianchi to me.

    My budget is around $2,000.
