Hello new to forum.

Hi guys, my name is Andy. I am from Bay area California, recently my car has died, and I thought I would take my bike to school rather then to school to get some exersize I needed anyway.

So I havent rode bicycle since freshman its been a very long time. I thought I could do some research before going to buy a bike.

First of all, im a pretty big/large type of a guy, and 6'1 foot tall if that matters.
I am looking to just ride on the road, not on dirt or mountains, so I just want a street bike.
I kinda wanna try the one with thin wheels? but whats the differnce when it comes to those thin wheels and the thick wheels like mountain bike?

Also my budget is preferably $200, yes its a low budget but I am a student, I would probably extend to maximum of $250.

So please could you guys recommand me a bike? Thanks you!

Gota go used with your budget.
You would need a 58-60cm bike

Hello you sent me a message on a bike that was on a really nice deal, i tried to send you a message but it wouldnt let me because I dont have 50 posts. I ll post here instead hoping you will see it.

but..oh wow what a nice deal on the bike! thats the price i was looking for, thanks so much!
But if you dont mind i have some questions on the bicycle. I noticed the seat on the bike you linked me is taller then the handle bars. I dont know, but do you know if its comfortble riding like that? Im so use to riding the bikes that the seat is lower then the handle bars..like..http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...1_10000_200348

Could you tell me what the differnce of the two is? Like is the first one more better to ride with or something? Thank you so much.

The first one is the best. The high seat gives your legs more power.
You can go further and faster.

I ride that way.
27,000 miles

I rode this bike 101 miles Thursday and 100 miles Friday
I am 68 years old. You can do once your in shape.
