Another Geezer on 2 Wheels!
A quick intro.....
My name is Brian and I'm 54 years old. I bought a bike a couple of years ago (after taking a very long break from cycling) as a way of getting some fresh air & exercise - I'm very fortunate, we have recreational bike paths about a block from my house.
Try as I might I haven't been able to commute to work very often but I have been racking up the kms this year evenings and weekends and was enjoying so much I just rode my first metric century (Ride the Rideau - 100km Ottawa to Merrickville) last Saturday.
Bikes have changed a lot since I retired my old Sekine 10 speed and I never thought I'd be seen dead in bike shorts!
My other hobbies include soccer, running, scuba & playing bass in a grey hair garage band and I've been known to get in a few hours of work each week too.

Congratulations on your first metric century.
Keep with it. The more you pedal the stronger you will become.
I have gone to 700 X 28 tires on my race bike and touring bike.
