From Ok and I ride for fun and fitness
Im glad to be a member here. Besides ridng all the time, I also like making my bike better. I used to do that with my cars, buy a car then fix it up.
I own a Trek 4300 I bought early in 2009. Right off the bat-the rear tire kept going flat and seat was uncomfortable. Changed those right away. Its now the second year, and the ONLY thing left original on the bike is the frame, rim brakes and handlebars. The rear hub just recntly went out, so I purchased some MUCH better wheels that are disk compatable. So yep-disk brakes are next on the list. This Trek 4300 has a SRAM 9speed drivetrain, all x7 components, and a Truvativ Firex crankset. Forks are rockshox Dart 3 with Kenda Nevegals. The wheels are Vuelto with sealed cartridge bearings-very fun to ride!
