I've had several since 1999 but have settled on my beloved 2001 Litespeed Tuscany and my latest, a 2013 Cannondale CAAD 10.

Welcome Blue Sky. I'll be 66 in about two months. What bike(s) do you ride?
Stop by the 50+ forum and say hello to the "old farts".

I'm on a Colnago Super most of the summer - 1980's era with all Campy components. I like doing my own mechanical work and wheel building. During Fall, wet weather, etc., I ride a Trek Hybrid - nice bike, but it's aluminum - I guess I'm too Old School, give me a lugged steel frame any day. It has disk brakes - a pain to adjust but once they're in they are pretty nice for the sloppy weather. No brake fade when wet with these things. Then during the Winter I have a set of rollers in the basement. I have a hard time staying motivated on the rollers - I'm lucky to be able to get a hour a day in.

I had no idea there was a 50+ forum - I'll have to stop by.

Well I sure do miss doing 100 mile rides - I'm just to old to fall asleep in some farmers field if I get tired. But those were great memories. I'd ride out 100 - 150 miles in one direction one day, sleep in some field, and ride back the next day. These days I'm riding 30 to 50 miles a day and I stay pretty close to home doing it. Lucky there's a nice bike trail a few miles away. How bout you? You still riding Century rides? I like the Avatar you have, "One day. One bike. 100 miles."
I used to run marathons back in the 70's, but after knee and foot operations, I got on a bike. My Ironman - Swim, Bike, & Run - has become - Float, Coast, & Shuffle.

You must be an expert in cold weather riding. I want to do more of it this year - I might be asking ya for a few tips...

Warm here on the Gulf Coast. Winter, Fall is our best riding time.
Got in 693 miles the 1st 7 days of this month.
Going out tomorrow for another 100. Temps should be 67* to 90* Sunny.
I started riding at 65 years, now 68 years.

100 miles a day at 68 years old? Now that's what I call 'making up for lost time!'
