Hello from the UK
Hi there,
just a quick hello to all, Klaus (age 52) from High Wycombe, 40 miles northwest of London.
Started cycling again after 30 years of only car driving. Have a Swedish made city bike which I obtained free secondhand, added bits and pieces plus some servicing and do about 30 miles at weekends, exploring the country side.
Also have a folding bike (from the 1970s) which I keep at work for lunchtime rides (about 5 miles every other day). Work is located in Uxbridge which is at the western edge of London. I drive to there.
Originally from Germany but in the UK 30+ years.
Look forward to reading the posts and maybe get in touch with some of you.

Cheers Klaus, welcome to Bike Forums!
Is the Swedish bike a Monark or a Crescent by any chance?

Never heard of that one, to be honest. So much for my Swedish bike knowledge. A quick Google didn't help much either, except that their city bikes are offered for sale every know and then in Swedish web sites. We have several Swedish members here, maybe post pics and questions in the Classic and Vintage forum?

Ah, maybe there is a reason for this: the lable with the Swedish flag says "Swedish Design" therefore may not necessarily be made or sold in Sweden. Don't have any history on this bike as I just picked it up for free....
