Introduction of me, Levon a new member.

I am Levon, a 74 year-old avid cyclist. I joined the Forum to learn more about the secrets of bicycle components and how to choose the best bike.I have been cycling regularly, nearly daily, for 15 years. Cycling helps me keep my weight controlled. I am one of those DiNiro types who can gain an enormous number of pound in a very short time, so I must keep active. Until recently, I ran a lot but my right knee gave way and had to be replaced. I can't run now but cycling is easy, fun, painless and I love it. I have five bikes. A 1990 Trek touring model, a 1993 Cannondale R800, a 1998 Torelli touring La Bicycletta Che Vince model, as well as Diamondback and GT mountain bikes. In my next life I plan to be a racer.

The Trek is in Florida at my sister's home for use on my visits. The Torelli and Diamondback I picked up in Santa Barbara, CA during a prolonged stay. I have them here now, and the Cannondale and GT I bought while I living here in Massachusetts where I still reside. Oops. I have offered more, perhaps, than anyone would want to hear about..Sorry 'bout that..Levon

Welcome Levon,

I hope you get the answers you're looking for. From the sounds of it, it is "we" who can learn much from "you".

Respectfully,
Da Nut
