Hello/Goodbye
Hi, just joined. Finally bought a new bike after riding the same old mountain bike for 15 years. Starting to get back into cycling and rediscovering some favorite trails. Too bad the weather is getting cold again though. Can't wait till Spring. Enjoy!

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Just bundle up in layers and the cold weather won't be so bad. Lots of folks up north ride thru the winter.

Howdy and welcome to the forums.
We used to live in Fort Collins, Colorado. I would frequently hike in a county park, and the main users of the back trails in that park were mountain bike riders. What I noticed was that once we had a half-inch of snow, it seemed like everyone put their bikes away and you didn't see them again until spring, no matter how pretty or warm it was in the meantime. So there was a lot of good riding weather that was neglected because it wasn't the right day on the calendar. Meanwhile, I read in the winter cycling forum and elsewhere of people riding all winter in the same area. So a lot of it is perception, not just the weather.
