Newbie From CA
Hi All
I was doing some searches on how to come back after a cycling hip fracture accident that I came across this forum. I am an avid road cyclist here in SF Bay Area. Last year was my best year. Started training for the Death Ride in Dec 2009. Did 4 centuries till July when I finished all 5 passes of the Death Ride here in CA. About 8 weeks ago, I was descending down a hillside when the bike slid from under me and I crashed and broke by hip. Had surgery the next day and now I am recovering. The prognosis is that I will be back close to 100% by Feb. One positive thing about this whole incident was that I got to connect with many fellow cyclist who have had similar serious injuries and all of their stories have been very inspiring. Anyway, good to be here amongst "friends".
