Hi
I am from Long Island and have been riding for 53 years. Started on my trike at 2 , moved to a red ross with training wheels at 5 , lost the TWs quickly and had a faux stingray made by Ross with hi rise handlebars , banana seat and chrome fenders . Rode that til i was 12 and then got a belgian 10 speed. And that was where the sickness really set in .
Had an original Specialized hard rock mtb ( before suspension )
in the 80's , one of the first carbon fiber road bikes in the 80s ( Dave Scott Iron man model which quickly fell apart at the aluminum lugs) . Went back to a steel Merckx with Dura Ace in the late 90s ( still in regular rotation and finally to Carbon Fiber trek madone in 2007 ( broke that too and now have a Madone 5.5 w Ultegra
My old mountain bike just broke down and i replaced the defunct manitou shock with a riged fork for town use . Just picked up a rockhopper comp disc ( used) that is in need of upgrades . We also have a dahon folder that is used to go to town and around the neighborhood .
We like bikes amongst other things like guitars and cars as well as crafted beers and wine!

Welcome to Bike Forums! It sounds like you've had quite a collection of bikes.
