PDX to NYC transplant, the winter sucks, where's my rain?
Hi From Astoria(/long Island city depending on how you see it)!
Always been a Bike Forum lurker, you guys have been a real resource. Everything I go spend $$ on toys, you're the first people I got to so thank you, and thanks again.
Sooo... As titled, the winter is getting a little old, (and upstate folks say you haven't seen nothing yet), but I've been commuting from Astoria to williamsberg (hipstertown) a quick 5 miles each way 4-5 days a week, so you can say i'm adjusting to it.
I've been blessed with a 2010 kona sutra, paid 650 for it (no racks)... however it wasn't until when I got home when i realized the owner switched the avid BB7 brakes out for some no name shimano diskbrakes ! Thankfully everything else is right, and truly it has been the best ride i've ever own (and i dont mind the weight)
So i've recently came up with a wild Idea, I was thinking of flying down to see the New Orleans Jazz fest, then do a bike tour back to NYC!!
Do you guys know anyone I could talk to? or better yet, is anyone interested in joining ??
let me know
