Newbie - Klamath Falls, Oregon
66 year old retired elementary teacher who is not ready to retire to anything, yet. My wife and I are avid (year round) ultri-light (in the spring and summer) backers. Thirty years ago I ventured in to bike touring, but had to give it up as a skiing injury to my neck caused numbness and weakness in my left shoulder.
Found recumbent trike about a month ago and can't wait for the winter snow/s to disappear so I can start training and hit the road. I only have until the first of June to trail ride this year because I head for 6 months of backpacking in Europe.
I'm really looking forward to gleaning knowledge from you folks. I had previously owned a mountain bike ('80-'86), and in reading some of the messages, I had some major "Dahh" comments when I realized I hadn't considered an emergency took kit
I look forward to the forum, the support, and the reading.
