83 Fuji Touring IV, 90 Univega Alpina Pro MTB, REI road bike, others in pieces
Greetings from SoEast Mass
I'm John, 50 and live very close to the ocean near the MA/RI border. I have a vintage early 80's Fuji Touring Series IV, that I took across country in 84, New Zealand in 90. Also have a ~1990 Univega Alpina Pro (or team?) MTN Bike - that's pre-suspension. I inherited a REI Novara road bike and I have an early 70's Raleigh Competition - chrome forks - rear stays, and lugs. It's in pieces and I am thinking of making it into a single speed.
Also have a Pro-Flex Mtn Bike frame that needs building up. By BikeSnob's definition, I would be a Retro-Grouch. Only the road bike has index shifting and the Fuji has bar-ends.
Have not toured in years, but late spring I am riding with a friend and son on a 4-day in So. Vermont. Have the lean-to's booked already!
Hoping to get back into biking much more this year and do a couple of tours.
