Kansas greets!
Viking greetings from the land of corn and soybeans also known as... Kansas! :^)
I'm a sporty late-twenties gal who has always loved biking, but in that fun and lackadaisical never-really-serious-about-it sort of way.
(Hrmm, I should warn you ahead of time that I'm a sci-fi/fantasy geek with a love for musical theatre to boot. You've been warned, bwahaha! )
Recently decided to get back into the swing of things and get serious this time as I'm aiming to get in tippy-top mileage making shape for a bike trek in the U.K. in a few years.
I used to ride a '77 Raleigh Grand Prix which I love love loved! It worked like a gem on paved roads on the West Coast, but on country back-roads of Kansas... not so much, more's the pity.
So am currently shopping for a new bike and was reading (stalking) your forum's threads for some insightful cycle wisdom before I check out my LBS's (learning the jargon already! Woo!) and thought I'd join your forum instead of only lurking.
I'm sure to be asking oodles and bunches of questions, picking all of your brains.
Hopefully some of your collective wisdom will start to rub off.
Cheers!
