Hi all from CooknTbone
Just wanted to say hello. I'v been on the site many many times but untill now never signed up. I live right outside DC (silver spring, MD) I started a "car-free" year on Jan first and its been fantastic... I bike and use Metro for everything....
I signed up this morning for some opinions on a bike... I dont race, I need a good commuter/ farmers market/ tool around DC bike! Right now I have a world sport that is really fantastic, but too small for me... I also have a La Tour IV... again good bike ... a little heavy... but a bit big for me! sooooo I need to get a bike that fits anyway so why not get some advise on what to look for! (BTW this might be the wrong place to post this.... admin feel free to put this in the right place or let me know where to post this) Im thinking even though I really like the world tour..... theres got to be a LOT more nice options.... Id like to spend under 500 bucks a bike shop guy showed me a SWEET Trek 520.... wow.... but its 1500 bucks! just toooo much at least right now....
