New to this site and Road Biking!
Hello fellow bikers.......
I wanted to post here and say hi to all! I am from Charlotte, NC and have ridden a mountain bikes for a few years now and got bored with the same trails, wet weather conditions, etc. Anyways, I am 53 years old and been a runner for years with no physical problems and decided to try my hand at Road Bike riding! I purchased a used Giant Defy in March of 2011 from a friend of mine who was the same as I, 6-4 and 217 pounds and have loved it! I rode the bike every day I was off from work and this May 2011, rode 4 centuries back to back. It was a total of 430 miles! Some may say I trained to hard and entered a long ride like I did too early, but I did it and felt great aftwerwards! Since I am knew at Road Bike riding and thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!
