Gentlemen and gentlewomen!

I'm a bike collector and restorer currently living in Oslo with my wonderful fiancee.

My equipment: A basement full of Norwegian 1930s to 1970s commuters, mostly Øglænd (The Schwinn of Norway) but also some rarer gems.

I've got a full-blown 1972 Schrøder racer, with Reynolds tubing, Dia-Compe brakes, Sugino Mighty Tour crank, Mavic rims, Campa headset and hubs and full SunTour V gruppo. Previously owned by Gunnar Knudsen, brother to Knut Knudsen who won the 4 km in the München games.

My favorite bikes are the Gresvig-produced Diamants up until 1955, when they sold out to Swedish Crescent and became a cheapo brand. The best of the crop is my 1941 "Modell nr. 11" in near-new condition, sky blue with pristine, silver pinstripes.

I've been lurking on this forum for about a year, and finally worked up to gall to join. Mostly because people were slagging the Norwegian DBS (ack!) and endlessy ask for help with their weird bottom brackets.

Cheers

Johan
